Budgeting this month with last month's income--glitch in the Matrix?
We have been using YNAB for about 4 years now. We just wrapped up December's budget, made sure everything was green or at 0. Moved December's income from a holding category to January's TBB and budgeted everything into categories. Then on December 31, we had 4 transactions. I thought I was going to be tricky and just re-date those to January 1 and the money would come out of the January budget. But alas, they completely disappeared! Before I did that, though,when I reopened my January budget (about 3 days after we budgeted everything), I had a TBB deficit totaling the Dec. 31 transactions. After re-entering all those transactions correctly (bank would not re-import), my TBB deficit is now double into the red. Ackkk! Any help appreciated =)
