Error messages are very non descriptive..

I'm trying to create a transaction and reusing others transaction requests + building my own but i keep facing an Internal server error.

{'transaction': {

    'date': '2018-09-09',
    'payee_name': 'MASKED',
    'payee_id': None,
     'amount': 102,
      'account_id': '9MASKED42-4d99-4MASKED94-4MASKEDa1',
      'memo': 'testring'

What am i doing wrong ?

I've tried to write the date field as both 2018-09-09 and also 09-09-2018 but no luck.

{'error': {'name': 'internal_server_error', 'detail': 'An unexpected error has occurred', 'id': '500'}}

    Steel Blue Drum, we use yyyy-mm-dd for our date formats, so I think you're OK there. Can you PM me your YNAB email address, and the `account_id` and `payee_name` you're using so I can find the failed request in the logs?

    • George I found the error. Pythons request library was messing with me and i provided the dict in data= instead of json=
      Works great now :)
