Credit card "available" does not equal the one transaction in it

Can someone explain why this would be?  My credit card has exactly 1 transaction in it for $303.20 in a single category - Clothing / Shoes.

In the budget, next to this CC it shows activity of $281.68 and available of $281.68.  I've attached a screenshot when I click on activity.

I know that it was fine for most of the month.  As I got to the end of the month, I was moving money between categories to cover overspending with but I only added to the Clothing / Shoes category.

  • It looks like you applied this $303.25 Nordstrom transaction to your "Discretionar..." category, and you overspent that category in February.

    1. Make sure the category for this transaction is correct;

    2. Make sure you've budgeted sufficient money in that category so that it's not overspent

      bret Thanks!  That was it - I just entered a transaction this morning (on a different credit card) that put the category overbudget.  I fixed that and all is good now.

  • I think that the window showing spending and budgeted spending could be clearer - like an alert indicating that I haven't budgeted enough in the category to cover the spending on the credit card.

    • Daily Impressions that alert is normally seen in the budget view, indicated by a yellow/negative category.
