Finally reached โ‚ฌ2000!๐ŸŽ‰

I feel like I'm floating. For the first time since I've opened my bank account, I've reached 2000 euros!๐ŸŽ‰

I got my paycheck today, and with a big grin, I started to hand them their jobs. Oh, I guess I can use you for the bills of March! March! I can't believe how far I've gotten with YNAB. I can actually plan things like a haircut now without thinking to myself: oh but I need to pay for this first...

I mean it's still far from perfect, I've had to change a lot of things in how I life etc. But some of those decisions have been healthy decisions! Like taking the bike instead of the bus. Or cooking at home instead of having take out.

Now I just need to prepare a plan to pay off my student debt and I'm all set!

Suzanne is 20, a student and as a result unsurprisingly poor. She grew up in a traditional middle-class Dutch household AKA stingy as can be and as a result loves to pour money in charity, social activities, art and culture. Suzanne's biggest love-hate relationship is with bookstores. They somehow always rob her of every penny she owns.

  • Congratulations, Suzanne !

You have broken the paycheck to paycheck cycle, which is a huge accomplishment on its own, but you're off and budgeting towards March! ๐ŸŽ‰

Also, I have a similar issue with bookstores - I somehow seem to lose pennies in the pages, or something. ;)

  • The best part is that you got an early start in life at budgeting the right way. I didn't start until later in life and it has still taken me a long way. The sky is the limit for you!
