Can't access account

I was charged today for my yearly subscription (through iTunes, which is annoying. I didn't realize I did it this way). But YNAB is not allowing me to access my account, saying a need to subscribe. What can I do?? I paid the yearly fee today, I should have access to my account.

  • Is there a way to have my account switched from iTunes into a regular YNAB account? I'm really frustrated I can't access anything even after paying for the service.

  • You are not alone. I also paid via iTunes and lost access to my account.

    • Hot Pink Wrench I called Apple support to know that they took my money with a delay and did not generate a receipt yet.  So, I'm waiting.

    • Lavender Moose apparently my issue was that my email address on my YNAB account didn’t match my Apple ID. YNAB support was able to get me back into my account

  • According to the release notes, this was fixed yesterday/day before (the 9th). Can you access it now?

    • adriana01 nope, it’s still telling me my trial has expired and that I need to subscribe. I’m emailing with a support person, so hopefully they can help me resolve it

  • I’m locked out of my account as well!  Renewed today through the app store subscription and it’s telling me my trial has expired.  App store says my subscription is active until May 17, 2020.

    • Sky Blue Sander is your apple ID different from the email address you used to create your ynab account? that was my issue.

    • Hot Pink Wrench no I figured a workaround though.  I changed my account from yearly to monthly and back again.  After that YNAB registered my subscription as active.  Hopefully my subscription will not be billed twice since my subscription doesn’t expire until May 2020.  I’d rather deal with trying to get a refund if it comes up than not have access to my budget for several days going back an forth with support.
