Announcing transaction write support!

Hello Early Access API users,

We hope you're enjoying playing around with the API!  Thank you for the feedback you've provided so far as we really appreciate it and it's been helpful.

We're excited to announce that the API now supports some new transaction write endpoints including POST/PUT and a new endpoint called /transactions/bulk that supports POST (create) operations.  This means you can now create, update and bulk create multiple transactions through the API.  This ability has been requested from quite a few of those that filled out the API survey we sent out and we are excited to get this in your hands.

Although we did update the main API documentation page about this change, we're trying to keep the YNAB API Endpoints page as the definitive source on the API spec itself and have updated it with the new transaction write endpoints information.  You can see the updates to the transaction endpoints here:

Also, if you're using the JavaScript client, it has been updated to support these new transaction operations and we've added a bulk create example for reference.

Thank you and have fun!
