hubby entering transaction in Android app but they are not showing up
Hubby has finally committed to entering transactions as they happen. He enters them in the Android app. But it seems like there is some kind of delay or hiccup. When I log in to the website or my IOS app, I don't see the transaction. Granted, sometimes is has been a "user error" on his part (using the wrong account, not knowing how to handle bank withdrawals, etc) but there are some cases where the transaction is just not showing up. I don't want him to get discouraged by my questioning imported transactions that he has already entered by are not showing up. It is going to get the point that he says "why bother?" It "seems" like there is some kind of delay in the synchronization between the app. I have watched him enter something and then have it not be there later in the web app. Is there something he needs to do to ensure the transaction gets "pushed" to the web?
I have personally found that if me or the hub close the app too fast after entering the transaction, then it doesn't seem to have time to sync. This is my one big gripe with the app. We have just added in the habit of manually refreshing the app (swipe down on the screen when at the top of the page) before we close it. That always forces it to sync.
Hi MXMOM !
Can you ask your husband a little more about his workflow for entering transactions?
Does he leave the app open or close it? To make sure transactions are able to sync, we do recommend to leave the app open in the background instead of force closing.
It is also possible to make changes in the mobile app while offline (no/poor WiFi or cellular service). Pulling down on the mobile app will force a sync with the server, both iOS and Android.
These two tips can help!If he continues to see odd behavior there, you can submit a Bug Report and our team is happy to look closer. 😀
