Direct Import Changes… Again!
Hey folks! I hope you’re well. These changes won’t apply to all YNABers, but we wanted to make an announcement—so you know it’s expected behavior.
We’re all about simplifying, and that’s been a theme this year with Direct Import. From four providers to two! 🎉 It’s been a great run with our original import partner, Finicty, and time to say goodbye.
These changes will impact a smaller number of folks than the previous round. Starting July 14th, you may see a notification in YNAB asking to update your bank connections. We’ll release in batches over a few days. If you’ve been connected since 2016, and never heard of a “switch”—it’s your time to shine!
Here are the key details:
- You’ll see an in-app message with more information on the process, to help walk through re-linking your accounts.
The existing connections will continue import transactions through July 29th.
After that, you'll need to complete the Get Started prompt in order to import going forward.
Don’t see a message? Your connections are already set up through the newer partners, MX and Plaid, who we will continue to work with.
