Refund inflow and outflow question
If I got a refund into an account for a transaction posted before, wont YNAB be "correct" on the inflows and outflow?
Like the money I sent to someone was returned but it's the same money so I shouldn't have more inflows than I actually had.
It is an inflow - that's simply any money that came into your budget - in the same way that the original transaction was an outflow.
I suspect that what you want to do is to avoid recording it as income. The best way to handle refunds is to record it directly to the category used for the original transaction. So if you spend £50 from your clothing category and get a refund of £20, you would use the clothing category for your refund too.
