'To Be Budgeted' amount when you have a shared credit card

I have a shared credit card with my wife and split transactions in ynab 50/50 between my own categories and 'Wife's half' (this is where I'll book her payments as well).

This is great but is there a way I can reflect the 'To Be Budgeted' amount just for me i.e. take off the half of the credit card balance?

  • Your credit card balance doesn’t contribute to the TBB number....

  • TBB is already just for you. The money in the budget is comprised of all your cash on hand, ignoring any credit accounts.

  • In addition to merely recording transactions, you will need to decide how to handle your wife's portion of expenses in your budget. See this and pick one of the two standard approaches. The first is by far the easiest and least prone to mistakes.
