Filter option or export option for cleared transactions

I've been using YNAB for a month now and I love it - it's really given me insight that I've been missing which has made all of the difference for how I spend money today. Earlier today, I noticed the amount that I've spent in July for food (including groceries and dining out categories). The total seemed pretty high, but believable. I talked to my husband about it and he doesn't believe that it's an accurate accounting. I'm planning to review the spending in these categories with him line by line, but I see that the only way to organize transactions on the Account page is in alphabetical order. Is there a way that I can filter so that I only view one category at a time or is there a way that I can export the data to a CSV or EXL file so that I can do this work myself? I'd like to review the transactions and total spent without having to add line by line, if possible.

  • You can view one category at a time using the Search box in the upper right (see more detailed info here: https://docs.youneedabudget.com/article/164-transaction-search) , and then get a subtotal of transactions by selecting them using the checkboxes on the left (clicking the uppermost checkbox will select ALL transactions).
