Undo/Redo on IOS App

I've been YNABing for a month now and I am beginning to feel like I'm really getting the hang of things.

I was wondering if there is undo/redo for the mobile app for IOS.  I can't find it, but I wondered if perhaps I am overlooking it.

    There are a couple of features in the web app that aren’t yet in the mobile app.  One of these things is the ability to undo recent actions.  

    The Undo and Redo buttons are still available in the web app, but you can't undo/redo mobile actions from the web.

  • Can we make this a priority for the developers to include? I’ve hosed my budget a number of times on my iPad my accidentally tapping the screen and causing havoc - luckily I’ve learnt from my previous mistakes and keep a concurrent spreadsheet I can use to fix my figures, however I don’t want to duplicate effort just because you haven’t got round to adding an undo button

  • Seriously developers? These posts are from two years ago and I'm also still having the same problem! I've messed up my budget a bunch of times because I've added things in my mobile app that put it out of balance and I can backtrack from either mobile or web. I'm going to have to start a new budget all over again soon. It's so frustrating - one wrong move, where the problem isn't self evident, and all of a sudden I can't trust my budget or easily fix it. How can it be possible that it's taken this long to get this feature and we're still waiting?? At least make it so I can undo mobile actions from the web app, so I have some kind of reasonable workaround?

  • I have just mailed the devs to request this, which I am sure has been done before. This is one of the biggest complaints I have seen on the YNAB subreddit. It is really easy to misclick using the app, and sometimes it takes a long time to figure out what went wrong and how to fix it. At this point I actively try to avoid using the iOS app because I am worried about making mistakes.

    • Purple Sloth Same! After this last time, I'm avoiding using the app for anything except really basic transactions while I'm out shopping, and just do all the real budgeting on the desktop version where I can manage it better. I hope they figure this out soon...

      I know this thread is old so I wanted to give at least a small update here.

      Adding an Undo button to the mobile app is a feature our Design Team is looking into for the future. Right now, our development resources are being budgeted to a redesign of the mobile app. It didn't make sense to add the feature then redesign the app, so it's something our team plans to revisit once the redesign is complete.

      I can't give a time frame on this feature, but it is on our radar! :)
