I don't know where to put this...
I recently lost my full-time job. When I went to work on the budget afterward, I realized that I had been making part-time money here and there before the job, enough to cover health insurance. Now I'm struggling to make my budget work.
Does anyone have any advice or stories to share on this topic?
So I have come across something similar with Dave Ramsey.com that goes over irregular income. What you can do is make a list of all the bills you need to pay and when money comes in, you pay the top most important one and check it off. Then repeat the process until all your bills are paid. Have you tried to pick up a side gig. I currently do grocery shopping on the side. It is kind of like Uber. It keeps with the extras in my budget. I pray that you find something soon. I haven't had a full-time job in a couple months since I transferred to a different career, so I understand the changes that are going through your budget. What I started doing was focusing on the "Immediate Obligations" number, and making sure I had enough there to cover the most important bills first. Sort of what Spring Green Projector suggests below. Cover what you can and when your income picks up you can catch up on the other categories. Good luck!
