Seeing 2 months at one time

Are there  any updates in the future to let us see 2 months at one time?

I hate flipping back and forth in the last part of month

  • Is that something they said the are working on? I can't find a list of what they've said they plan to change. I know there is a ton of things they have said they never plan to change, and I thought this was one of them. Hope I'm wrong.  :)

  • Hi Susan and Lego !

We try to never say never for most features, because we know things change! We haven't said "Absolutely not" to multi-month view, but it also isn't a feature we're currently working on. You can submit a Feature Request to let our Design Team know you'd like to see this option in the future!

Also, our What’s Up Next page has a short list of what we're currently working on! :)

  • I agree ... it's really irritating at the end of the month.

  • I find it more efficient to budget solely in the current month.

However, you may wish to open a second browser window/tab to show a second month. Just make sure to refresh (hit F5) to make any changes visible in the other window. Also be aware that a refresh destroys the Undo information.

So not a perfect solution, but perhaps helpful for your needs.

I will try to do two tabs - I do  budget in the current month, but when  after I've paid off current month, I like to start on the next month

  • I just submitted a request to add my voice to the request to see two months. I have a long list of annual expenses that I budget for, splitting the total due by 12, and budgeting that amount each month. It's one of the things that changed my life back when I started using YNAB in 2013. Now in the process of feeling out nYNAB, and not being able to see those amounts from Sep to enter into Oct was a pain.

  • Someone suggested adding an extra category for "NEXT MONTH"- which I did and on the last day of the month I move that balance into October - it worked, but I still

would prefer seeing 2 months without going back and forth or opening two browsers-I'm a visual person- don't like the fact that I can't see it like in Ynab4-

    • Hi Susan Prosser !

Thank you for sharing your opinion here! If you have a moment, would you mind submitting a Feature Request for that option?

    • Susan Prosser Thank you for that! While we can't make any promises, that does put it on our development team's radar! :)

In the meantime, just put that nominal value in the category name or notes where it is visible. Update as needed when you add/subtract expenses.
