Net Income vs Savings

Hello dear YNAB community,

I'm struggling with the Income vs Expenses and how that relates to my savings.

#1: When I go into my income vs expenses, the amount that is shown as net income is less than what I am putting aside into my savings acct and categories every month.

#2: When I compare what income vs expenses shows for all 2020, it shows net positive LESS than what I saved the whole year... For example it will show a green $6000, when I saved at least $10,000...

I know that a bank is where you keep your money and not what you do with it. But I like for my savings categories to match the amount in my savings account. So with that, I'm thankful to know that my savings account is growing steadily and my budget matches that as my savings categories are growing as well... Also, my savings account is also a "budget" account and not a "tracking" account.

Am I wrong to think that the net income should match more closely what I saved? What am I not understanding here?
