Forcing "Starting Balance" Transaction to the Very Top in the Account Transaction List

I did a Fresh Start and entered my starting balance today. Then I spent some money today (same day) from that account. So the starting balance transaction and the two "normal" transactions all occurred on the same day. But the Starting Balance transaction is at the bottom of the list. It's just an annoyance, but is there a way I can force the Starting Balance transaction to be at the top?

(I guess one option that wouldn't hurt anything would be to falsely date the two "normal" transaction for January 2nd instead of January 1st, but I was hoping for a better way.)

Thanks!

Mark

  • Reconcile and hide reconciled transactions and you'll never see it again.

  • YNAB's default order for transactions happening on the same date is outflows from highest to lowest dollar value, then inflows, and there's no way to change this.

Vibrant If you think of it as smallest to largest, it encompasses the whole ordering without respect to whether the transaction is inflow or outflow. Smallest = biggest negative and Largest = biggest positive.
