Need a list or report of all transactions for last year
So I was just audited and I need some help making YNAB do what i need.
I need a list of ALL transactions for a given category for last year so that I can try and find receipts for my transactions. I have most of them scanned to a folder, but i need to know what I'm looking so it's not just a needle in a haystack. Is there a way to generate a category-specific transaction list for a given period of time? When i generate the report from YNAB it just gives me totals for the year. I need the specific transactions.

Go to "All Accounts"
Under Filter in top right, select Last Year
Then in the search box add the category you are looking for.

It sounds like you may be looking for this information in the Reports section. Instead, you'll want to pull this information up through the account register. The steps Nolerule mentioned should get you exactly what you're looking for! :)

Is there a way to export or print this sort of filtered list?

You can export all transactions to CSV format, import into Excel, filter for the category of interest, and print from there.

Sorry if this is obvious, but I'm not seeing a way to export from the "all accounts" screen; this is where I have the transactions of interest filtered.

Thank you, I knew it had to be there somewhere.
I was hoping to be able to just export a selected subset of transactions from the accounts page; maybe I'll make a feature request.

Psmith Are you familiar with Excel's filter capability? Definitely a handy thing to learn if not.

Yes, thanks. In this particular case the sort got me what I needed up top. Definitely filter is super useful for a big data dump like this.
