Webhook for new transactions?
Excited for the API announcement today!
Was curious if any of the endpoints (particularly /transactions) would support webhooks so apps could be notified when new transactions are added?

alextran Not yet but it's on our radar because we know this would be useful for lots of folks. No promises but we like the idea! For the time being, you could create a service that polls the API using a delta request.

Brady what is the status of this? I too would like webhook functionality and recently submitted a feature request for it that way I don't have to waste cpu cycles on my end to constantly check the api with delta requests which will most often have no new data and it will save queries on ynabs api server too.

Brady Any updates on this? Zapier is cool and very powerful, but the free account is so limited, and the basic account is so expensive ($25 per month)! Integromat has a much better free option for your frugal users!

Checking in at the end of 2019 here. It looks like Zapier has a "new transaction" trigger. Does this mean we'll have a webhook soon? I'm hoping to use integromat for my automated workflows.

Silver Deer Thanks for checking in! Right now, there's no new developments on adding the webhook, just the Zapier and endpoints are there.

No webhook support yet but here is a simple application that can be run on Heroku's free tier that will post to a URL when there are changes in a budget, effectively providing webhook support.

Brady I've been using Zapier to auto-populate transactions by parsing bank email notifications (and is what I'd love to do in Integromat), so unfortunately I don't think that meets what I'm trying to do .
I think this kind of automation is a good work around for people having bank sync issues. Personally, I like have charges automated and added without having to wait for them to be cleared.
