IPad OS Update
With the iPad OS update released today, along with the update to Safari, it would appear that the web app now is fully functional, including ability to enter amounts and reconcile, neither of which were functional prior to the updates.
Just wondering if I am missing something, any reason to keep the iPad App on my device at this point?

The primary reason that I can think of is that you can still enter information in the app without an internet connection and it will sync when it has a connection again. Other than that I agree that the web app will be much more functional. I forgot about that and haven't tried it yet.

Good point about using while off-line. Maybe we'll get an updated iPad App at some point. Nice to have options though.

We noticed this option became available with the latest iOS release. I'd keep the YNAB app installed as a back up, just in case anything changes or for offline budgeting, like bobbucy mentioned. :)

When you log in, it will still force the YNAB app to open is it’s installed. I found I could only access the web page by deleting the YNAB app.
Having played around with it for a while, it works perfectly well and I can finally see the real reports rather than just the rather odd Net Worth and Age of Money which used to only use half the screen.

Woolloomooloo Mine was doing that too. I did not delete the App, but for some reason, it just started working. Don’t know why really.

Will iPad version support Mac OS Catalina Catalyst feature any time soon? Would love to have app for YNAB on my desktop

This was the first I had heard of the Mac OS Catalina Catalyst feature and wow! :)
Our priorities shifted a while back and we removed a desktop option from our short-term roadmap. It isn't currently in our plans, but you can submit a Feature Request to let our Design Team know you'd like to see YNAB take advantage of the catalyst feature.

Faness The iPad app has less functionality than the browser, so much so that you’re better off using the iPad browser to access YNAB than using the app. On a Mac, I can’t think of any compelling reason to use a port of the iPad app rather than a browser.
Additionally, the catalyst feature is quite a lot more involved than simply checking the box “compile for macOS” as lots of other developers are finding out. If the app gets parity with the web version, it might be a nice feature, but I am not sure if you’d want to invest in functionality that’s now easy to do in the iPad browser since iOS 13 allows it to identify as a desktop and not an iOS device.

I use Chrome as my default browser on my iPad. I deleted the app and tried to log in on Chrome and it won’t let me. When I click on the LOGIN button, it brings me to a page that tells me to download the app. Has anyone else encountered this? I can log in without any issues using Safari but I much prefer Chrome.

KnitPurlKnit Chrome is still using the mobile webkit framework and so isn't identifying itself as a desktop browser. I know all preferences are personal, but Chrome is essentially the old Safari with a different skin, plus Google's tracking and spyware. I can understand preferring its features on the desktop given the number of extensions, but on iOS it's just a slower and less private Safari.

KnitPurlKnit Try Requesting Desktop Site. I've accessed the website on my ipad for years. I can't speak to iOS 13 though as I just finally upgraded this morning :).
