Bank of Montreal
Bank of Montreal isnt even an option when searched. Seeing as this is my first introduction to ynab its pretty disappointing to say the least.
Is this something I have done wrong or is it just not supported for whatever reason?
Only a limited number of Canadian banks are supported. Import of transactions is really meant as a back-up/double check and manual entry is meant to be the primary method of transaction entry. You may wish to look at the support documentation for file based import as most banks will allow you to download the file in the appropriate format and then you can literally drag and drop to get it into YNAB. At least that's what I've heard. I've been doing 100% manual entry since 2014 with no issues.
Hi Purple Horn ! Thanks for writing in via email, I see one of my colleagues took good care of you. We're unable to support the CAPTCHA multi-factor authentication method used by Bank of Montreal. We're hoping our import partners can build support for this down the line, but we can't guarantee when (or if) that might happen.
We're closing out Bank Importing threads in the forum to make sure these issues are better resolved, and we can follow up directly with you via email if we hear otherwise. Replies in this thread have been turned off.
