split transactions and printing category expenses question

I would like to print out a list of this month's transactions (like a Category Expense Report) in a specific category (using a category filter in the ALL ACCOUNTS register), however the list is incorrect because YNAB includes all of split transactions, not just the portion for the requested category.

If anyone has any better ideas on how to get a printable/sharable list of category transactions, I'd appreciate it.

    Hmm, you should be able to generate an Export from your Spending reports! Make sure that you have it narrowed down to a specific category/account/months you need, and that should do it! It will be in a CSV format, but it should easily be printable if you use Numbers, Excel, or even Google Sheets. 😊

  • The export from the report just gives the total, not a listing.  You can click on the amount in the Activity column in the category you are interested in. Then click on the Copy  Transaction button and paste the transactions into a spreadsheet.
