What's happening with my "budgeted in future" amount?
I'm trying to figure out why my "budgeted in future" category is sitting at $-146.11.
I don't have a single dollar budgeted in the month of March. All budgeted columns are $0 including hidden categories.
I have $0 "to be budgeted" this month.
If I remove $146.11 from a budget category this month, "budgeted in future" goes to $0 but "to be budgeted" this month goes to $146.11.
Where is this money coming from??

Forest Green Falafel If you use the mobile app, it will tell you. otherwise you have to look at every single category (make sure category groups are not collapsed). It's also possible the overspending is in a hidden category, in which case you may need to unhide them.

nolesrule Got it. Thanks. It was from paying off my credit card which I do once a month around this time. I paid off the full balance of my card which included transactions from last month, so I over spent according to YNAB. Do you know if there's a best practice for this case?

Forest Green Falafel as with any other overspending, you budget money to cover it. You'll likely have to take it from some other category.
The 2 most common reasons to not have enough in a credit card payment category are overspending using a credit card (often in the previous month) or not budgeting to cover the starting balance when you set up YNAB while being a pay in full CC user.
