Question on Credit Card Payments
Hello there:
i am YNAB newbie and I am already addicted to it within a couple of days! It is absolutely mind blowing in terms of its simplicity and yet at the same time so powerful in enabling a sea change in one’s ability to manage budgets.
I have a quick question: I imported my credit card opening balances (for three card accounts) and set them up directly as credit card payment categories, as instructed. When the payments to the credit card were imported and matched for the opening balance, and then a few more regular transactions were posted (budgeted through categories), I noticed there is a slight variation in how the payment balances are reported. In one case, the sum of the new transactions charged are shown as “credit spending since last payment” with a note that if that amount is paid, my credit card balance will become zero. This is correct. However, for another credit card, which also has an opening balance, payment of opening balance, and then some new transactions, the sum of the new transactions charged is reported as “ $ available for payment”. I was wondering why the message is not similar to what is displayed for the other card (credit spending since last payment and that upon payment of this amount, the balance will be zero”. Again the amounts are all OK but I was not sure why the messages are slightly different for the two cards even though the circumstances are identical. Hope this is clear. Any thoughts?
look forward to interacting with the wonderful and wise YNAB users!

If you don't, you won't see a value under "$X Available for Payment".
It's also possible that you're seeing different messages based on if you have a goal set in one credit card category and not in another. Is that the case?
