How do I know if a goal is set to repeat weekly?

If I have a grocery budget for $150 a week, this is the response I get from the API for the Grocery category:

 {
    "id": "...",
    "category_group_id": "REDACTED",
    "name": "Groceries",
    "hidden": false,
    "original_category_group_id": null,
    "note": null,
    "budgeted": 0,
    "activity": REDACTED,
    "balance": REDACTED,
    "goal_type": "NEED",
    "goal_creation_month": "2021-11-10T00:00:00",
    "goal_target": 150000,
    "goal_target_month": null,
    "goal_percentage_complete": 18,
    "goal_months_to_budget": 1,
    "goal_under_funded": 612270,
    "goal_overall_funded": 137730,
    "goal_overall_left": 612270,
    "deleted": false
 }

Is there any reason why the API doesn't state that it's a weekly goal? I want to be able to get the average monthly spending for this category (in this case would be $150 * 4.3333 = $650) but based on the information given I don't think I would be able to calculate that since there is no indication that the goal_target is for a weekly goal.

    I get what you are trying to do (and you aren't wrong about the missing data point for the target), but average monthly spend would be based on Activity across multiple budget months.

    Goal/target data are just suggestions that do not have to be adhered to for the purpose of funding a category (which also doesn't really tell you how much you are spending).

      nolesrule Yes I understand the user doesn't actually have to spend the entire amount in the budget, and I don't want to average the amount of activity that was spent previously. I want to be able to know how much the user has budgeted for each category per month. With this response from the API I can determine how much the user has budgeted for the current month using overall funded and overall left, but since this is a weekly budget not a monthly budget that amount will change depending on the number of weeks in the month. There is nothing that indicates that it repeats weekly as apposed to monthly.

      zackalak yeah, gotcha. That's different because in the original post you stated:

      zackalak said:
      I want to be able to get the average monthly spending for this category

       I was speaking to that.

      nolesrule Sorry, that's bad wording on my part. It sounded correct in my head based on what I want to calculate haha.
