Introducing Sheets For YNAB

Hi all!
I'm excited to announce the release of Sheets For YNAB, a Google Sheets add-on that simplifies importing YNAB budget data into a spreadsheet 🙂
YNAB is amazing, and has some great features for analysing your transactions, reports, filters etc, but sometimes I found the need to just get my transactions in a spreadsheet for some specific analysis.
Of course YNAB offers CSV export for all of your data, but if you want to do this regularly it's mildly annoying to jump through the various hoops to import it into Google Sheets.
So I created Sheets For YNAB - now you can simply open the sheet, authorise the add-on to access your YNAB data, and import all your transactions.
No more fiddling with CSV files 👍
To get started, take a look at the docs or install the add-on directly from the Google Docs store.
This is an early release and I would love to hear feedback, feature requests, etc. Let me know what you think!

Thank you for building this. I will definitely be checking this out. For a while, I went through all the hassle of exporting and importing data to have my own charts, but eventually stopped due to amount of work. This could really reduce that work.
As others have mentioned, being able to import budget data would be huge. Budget balances were the main reason I had charts in Google Sheets. It's an easy way to communicate our financial picture quickly with my partner, who doesn't actually log into YNAB.

This is a really great Addon for both Google Sheets and YNAB! Thank you!
But as Hot Pink Violin has suggested, perhaps there's just a way to synchronize changes so we don't have to import all the transactions. Right now, importing for me is quite quick because I just have like 4 months of worth of transactions, but what about if I already have 4 years or more?
While waiting for that sync feature, perhaps there's a way to put a timestamp as to when the data were imported, so I can have a way to present a report based on those data to indicate as to how fresh or old those data have been.

Just tried it...worked like a charm!! Thank you.... am glad to be done with CSVs (except for importing transactions into my CapitalOne account, but that's not your doing).
Very much appreciate this add-on. I'm sure you've already thought of this but would love to see a budget Category dropdown as an enhancement.
Thank you!!
