Setting up recurring "payday" transaction
I'm curious as to how this will work out. YNAB let me create a recurring transaction for my paycheck without an amount. This kind of works for me because the amount can change slightly.
So question... will YNAB auto match up my recurring transaction with the actual transaction as long as the payee matches? Will the amount save?
If the totals don't match up, YNAB won't automatically match your reoccurring transaction with the imported one. You'll need to select both, then Edit > Match to match the two manually. The combined transaction will have the date/payee/category you entered, with the amount imported from your bank.
