Giveaway!

Hello, YNABers! We're hoping to get more folks to join the forum, so we're doing a little giveaway! We'll be sending a t-shirt and the YNAB book to five winners. We'd like to include new folks as well as current forum users, so even if you're not new, please participate!
So here's how it will work:
- Leave a comment below with one thing you love about YNAB.
- On Wednesday, 4/25 I will choose five people at random.
- That day, I'll contact the winners privately to get some information so we can send a prize!
A few notes for new folks:
If you haven't created an account with the forum yet, you'll just need to do so before you can comment. Click 'Login' at the top of the screen. What I love about ynab is that it helped me break the paycheck to paycheck cycle. My credit card spending is in the budget and linked so paid in full ever month is a cinch. And when the unexpected happens I can pay it without worry by simply reprioritizing and bam. Crack window from a rock on the freeway replaced without stress. 😊

I love that YNAB doesn't make me feel bad about my money missteps. It just says, "Okay, let's adjust and move forward." Also, it's freaking fun and I finally feel like I'm gaining control over my finances, bit by bit. I get impatient for each paycheck to come in, not because I'm getting paid, but because I can then budget!

Have been “budgeting” for over 30 years- learned about YNAB 5 years ago and taught that money management philosophy to my three teens, now college students. Found that my personal Quicken “budgeting” money management was not improving! This year we switched our system entirely to YNAB- and we are really seeing the flaws in our old money handling methods- looking forward to actually achieving our money goals! One flaw- floating credit card payments- and never getting one month ahead-

I'm using my husband's account. he he. He is the main YNAB driver in our house, but since he has implemented it in our lives I LOVE LOVE LOVE that we NEVER argue about money anymore. It is all discussions about our priorities and when our priorities are in line our decisions about money are so much easier than before!!! Thank you YNAB! Not to mention all the money it has saved us by making our spending so transparent!

I’ve been budgeting for years with my own spreadsheets and then different software. I’m still pretty new with YNAB and still learning and figuring it out, but what made me want to try it was the totally different outlook of budgeting with money you already have, instead of creating your monthly guess of what youre going to get and categorizing from that. I never seemed to stay in budget doing that and YNAB is helping!
