Simplii Financial linking - "connection is temporarily delayed"
I tried to link my Simplii chequing account last week, and got the following message:
We Couldn't Connect to Simplii
This connection is temporarily delayed—we'll keep trying, please check back later!
It's been over a week, and still no luck. Have I waited long enough? There was a long weekend in there, so maybe it needs more time.
Is Simplii working for anyone out there?

Unfortunately, our import partner is not able to connect with Simplii right now. The latest update we received is that Simplii is blocking and/or limiting data aggregation via third parties. This means that our import partner is working directly with Simplii to get the connection up and running again but it will be a time-intensive process and they aren't able to offer us a timeline on a permanent fix.
In the meantime, you may try attempting the connection every now and then as we've been finding the issue tends to come and go, and it’s always worth a shot!
And don't forget to keep your account balances up to date! You can do that in a few ways:
- File Based Importing (you can drag and drop as file containing your transactions right into YNAB!)
- Active entry using the the mobile app.
- Scheduled transactions (for those regularly occurring transactions that you know about!)
