End of month question - removing money that isn't there?
Hoping this is a quick one to solve.
I started using YNAB last month, i had a few problems but managed to get those sorted.
I now, however, have an issue where about £5 was left showing in my available money which it wants. This is likely due to a mistake somewhere else.
What I have done for now to remove this £5 from the budget page so it doesn't look like I have more than actually do, was set up a new category and i budgeted the £5 there.
but is there a way to remove this altogether. I tried zeroing that category but then this puts the £5 back into to be budgeted.
the only other thing i can think of is completing a fake transaction for that amount.

Hi know this money is not there. Its likely there from something that went wrong but now it does not equal with my actual account funds. This is why it's in it's own category because it doesn't exist. So it needs to be gone put not place into any accounts or to be budgeted or catagories as it not there.

Have you been reconciling your account in YNAB with your account in your bank? If they don't match, and you can't find the error, YNAB will create an adjustment transaction for you. If you don't know how to reconcile, here's a tutorial.
