Is YNAB using Citibank access API?

citibank has an API for aggregators to securely access account information without needing our bank passwords. Does YNAB use this? This is a strong feature request.

  • I'm going to guess not. I have a citi credit card that I have linked and it asked for my username and password.

  • Hi Violet Cobra All of our Direct Import partners build out their integrations in slightly different ways, but right now all of our Citi connections are built on a direct connection that requires usernames and passwords. You can definitely submit a Feature Request!

  • I will submit a feature request, but I wanted to second this request here. Wherever possible, YNAB should be insisting on using the API and not taking usernames/passwords. In fact, three people I recommended YNAB to have balked at this very point.
