Credit card cleared amount doesn’t match Available? Discrepancy that doesn’t match any purchase.

  • Your CC payment was 7.32 more than you had available in the category.

    Your CC Payment category should always match (positively) your *working* balance (negative) on the card.

    So, right now, you should have $35.73 in your CC Payment category. Manually move money to make it so, one-time. After that, YNAB will do the moving for you.

    The only time you care about cleared balance is in reconciling.

    Also, why pay the card to zero?

The shortfall for your Credit Card Payment category is $35.73 (the amount you owe on the card) + 7.32 (amount of overspending in your budget) = 43.05. Once you move that amount into your Credit Card Payment category, it will match what you owe, and you'll be on track to pay off your card at any time.

    The reasons this happened vary (most common: overspending in past months), but the solution is always the same!
