Credit Card 'available' is short
More often than not my credit card available balance is short and does not cover my spending. March I had to budget a further £225 and April so far another £417!! I reconcile every week. My starting balance was correct. I pay off my CC balance in full every month. I input all transactions. I ensure any over spend is covered at the end of every month so there are no negative balances.
I have used YNAB for years and years and believe that I have a really good understanding.
This is happening month on month and is REALLY frustrating me now! I just can't figure it out and it is messing up my budgeting every month!
Are all your purchases budgeted?
Do you make outgoing transfers from the CC; for example: a) when purchasing a gift card that you have as a budget account or b) to a cash account when you put your friend's lunch on the card and pick up their cash?
Do you ever make reconciliation adjustments?
Has your CC Payment category ever covered the entire account balance? (I'm not talking about covering the statement balance.)

Doing things in this order could explain things. To avoid issues, you'd would need to cover overspending first, then pay the CC.
