Existing Account Linking Questions
I have been keying my transactions manually to all my accounts. I have been thinking to link my bank and credit card accounts. How do i do that to the existing accounts? How will they affect my existing transactions and budgets if i perform the linking? Also, i set the each transaction to each category/budget manually, with the linking, do i have to login manually to change the category/budget that each transactions go to (i assume that i have)?
Click the pencil icon to the left of the account you want to link. You will then see a big "Link Account" button. It shouldn't affect your existing transactions other than maybe matching your latest ones. It might not know what category goes with what payee to start with but you can "Manage Payees" and tell it for future transactions.
