Payment Plan Goal

I have my daughter in a 3's program for school.  My payments are due on 7/15 and 9/15.  What's the best way to handle these to ensure that category is funded properly for those two dates?

  • My property taxes are similar. What I did was create a Spending goal for the further out date for the amount that covers both.

Superbone The first payment is due in 2 weeks. A Spending goal by Sept. for the combined amount will result in overspending if the payments are of equal amount.

jestarr manually budget whatever is needed to make the Available column cover the expected July payment. Set a Savings by date goal in next month's area for the Sept. payment amount.

If you have a similar thing happening next year, then it's appropriate to use the Spending goal by Sept. for the combined amount, and you would set this in the October budget after you've made the Sept. payment.
