Hi Salmon Disk ! Did you compare and enter transactions all the way back to May 2019? Do the transactions prior to that have a lock icon? This video on reconciliation troubleshooting has some great tips.
A few ideas that could cause a difference:
- Make sure transfers between your accounts are set up correctly. Like credit card payments, or transfers from checking to savings.
- Several transactions for the same amount that occur right around the same date, making duplicates hard to spot!
- Inflows that should be outflows, and vice-versa.
- Uncleared transactions. You can sort by those by clicking the top of the column with a grey c.
I hope that helps track it down! Going through a whole year of transactions is quite a feat. If it's been a while since you've used your budget, sometimes a Fresh Start—or creating a balance adjustment, will get you back up & running faster. Let me know if you have any questions!
