HELP--Budget entries I didn't make showing up in next month's budget
I just went to September to start budgeting and found two entries that have already been budgeted for the month. I did not do these and my current month's numbers do not show any carry over that would account for this.
For example, say I budgeted $500 for an August mortgage payment, paid the $500 in August, and the budget category in August shows a $0 balance in the "available" column. When I click over to September, however, that category shows $500 in the green "available" column and shows the same budgeted amount in the "budgeted" category. Is this a glitch? I am afraid to trust the surplus when I didn't put it there. I have two categories doing this.
I've been using YNAB for years and I update everything at least once a week, so I really don't think this is my error, but I'm open to any suggestions!

You can give these steps a try, to compare the cash in your budget to the cash in your accounts. If your totals match, you're good to go! Let me know if you have any questions. 🙂
