A Home for the Humble Feature Request
Since launching the forum, we’ve received a wide variety of feature requests regarding the YNAB software. We love feature requests! But, as many of you noted, we haven’t had a dedicated space for them. Not wanting any post to be homeless, our helpful Product Team has implemented a form which will serve as home to all future feature requests. You can find it under the Important Links section on the Home Page.
This form will provide our Product & Design teams with vital information, while also allowing them to gather requests directly. That’s right! Straight from your keyboard to their inbox. We’re tracking each and every feature request and considering them as we plan for future developments.
We’ve mentioned this here and there as requests have come in, but as we make these decisions we consider how many users would benefit from the feature, what impact it might have on other features we have in development, and most importantly—how it lines up with the YNAB method. So we can’t guarantee if or when certain features make it to the app, but we hope you’ll let us know what you’re wishing to see in YNAB because it’s a valuable part of our process!
If you’d like to stay in the know about what’s happening in the near future, bookmark our Up Next page. 🔖And, if you have any feedback about our Support Forum, please continue posting your ideas and requests under the About This Forum category.
We’d love to know what you think about this submission process! It's evolved the years and we'll continue to make tweaks along the way. Thread on!

My husband and I use YNAB. We have one account that we both share. Although we talk outside of our use of YNAB, it might be nice to have a feature where one of us could just make a general note, not necessarily attached to any particular item or month. Some kind of conversation thread? It could also be used for single users as a note thread or reminder to self. Like, "Where did I just put that money a moment ago?" "How did the to be budgeted money disappear so fast?"
