Cost of Subscription? Something's off to me

How does $6.99 a month equal $83.99 annually?  Last time I checked 6.99 x 12 was 83.88.  Is this YNAB funny math?

It's a rounding issue.  If you do $83.99/12, you get $6.9991666666 etc with the 6 repeating.  Mentally, $6.99 is cheaper to some people than $7 even.

  • Hi Cornflower Blue Mill !

eloquentz is exactly right! It's a rounding issue. To match the iPhone App Store pricing, the price had to end in .99 which isn't always the prettiest number to divide by.

As budget-savvy folks ourselves, we’re trying to figure out if that’s the best option—and we really appreciate your input!
