Frustration rules my life!

I'm so frustrated with the web based YNAB it's not true. Yes I find change difficult but just as I had a devil of a time getting to grips with Y3 back in 2011, I'm now having the same emotions running through me.

I want to "throw my toys out of the box" to use a British expression because it's so, so, so much more different to Y3 or Y4 - even with youtube and the documents on this site. 

I want to persevere but I don't know whether I can do it in the 33 days I have.

    Sorry for the frustration! The new YNAB is definitely a big change, but all of those changes were made with improvement in mind. 

    Can you let me know which areas are causing you trouble? I'm more than happy to help!

    I know you can do this, but if you're getting close to the end of your trial and you need a bit more time, email support at [email protected] and we can see about an extension! :)

      Faness at YNAB - it's pretty much everything - stuff like allocating ££s isn't the problem -  it's how the heck do I put non-recurring entries in, and knowing what to do with recurrurring stuff that come in early because of public hols etc

      Maroon Admiral Helen Hope you don't mind me jumping in here! For non-recurring transactions, you can add the transaction and just make sure you have a future date set before saving. That will set it to enter your register on that date. 

      As for recurring ones, if they come in earlier than expected, you can always use the "Enter Now" feature. Click on the scheduled transaction, and in the Edit menu, you'll see an enter now link.

      Hi,  Dan at YNAB ,  My latest frustration is   brought about by the weird way my 'Fresh Start' migration carried ALL the past transactions with it when I migrated to web-Y. I've got [probably] all 29 recuurring transactiomns from Y4  greyed-out, but I cant see if they are recurring effectivve day-before-yesterday. Two of them have come in early but though I've tried making them repeaters I cannot  see whether I have actually done it. Any ideas?

    Maroon Admiral Helen I'm with you!  I tried it and it is SO DIFFERENT and SO CONFUSING I had to give up.  It doesn't work for my business reimbursements and credit cards don't connect for me. I do hope you can figure it out.  If you can, would love for you to share your thought processes and experience might be helpful for others.

      Agent99 I will  when I've decided whether I'm going to keep going, right now I can't think about anything else than how the **** do I do anything I can do on Y4 w/out thinking!
