Trouble linking my credit card acct.

I can’t link my credit card acct. to my budget. It was linked off and on for the last three months but, always lined when I needed it to.  I can get into my credit card acct. separate from YNAB.  I removed the account and tried to re add it. It keeps saying to try again.

  I also can’t log into the web version of YNAB for what ever reason it just opens my mobile app .

  • There are definitely a lot of issues with linked accounts. We have recently run into this problem with one of our accounts. So, we manually add items as we purchase but we do slip quite a bit. I check our accounts at a minimum of weekly so I do the reconciliation and verify any missing transactions then by adding them in. 

    While I have and do use both methods since both my husband and I are not great at entering transactions at the time of purchase, I found that if you have to manually enter, you have a better sense that you are making a conscious decision to use your money. When relying on the direct import only, it was easier to think that the lack of money was more out of our control because it just "happened" and decreased our available balances. Just a thought to consider.

      it has been working fine. If I wasn’t on YNAB for a week I would have to update my link for my card but, no other issues.  My card company login now requires a texted code to be entered and that maybe the problem. Manual entry may be the only answer. Thanks

  • When you try to login and the mobile app appears are there 3 dots in the upper right corner? You should be able to click on these and choose the desktop version.
