View Multiple Months?

Am I missing something?  Has this been fixed yet?  The multiple tabs/browsers can be confusing because when I update an amount in one window it does not change it in the other.

  • No, you are not missing anything. It is not a bug to be fixed, it's a design choice. Most of us have learned to work in the one window. You'll have to refresh the other window in order to get it to update.

  • FYI, refreshing also nukes the undo history. You're kinda between a rock and a hard place.

I intentionally don't split the budget across months and budget all income in the month of receipt. Money for next month hangs out in a holding category until next month gets here.

  • Hey MedicSBK ,

There isn't a multi month view available in the current version of YNAB, but thank you for letting us know you were looking for it! It's not something currently on our roadmap. Can you let me know more about how you're using those multiple tabs?

For example, if you're looking for last month's budgeted amounts you can use Quick Budget and Budgeted Last Month, to view or even budget in a few clicks.

There are a number of differences between the web version and YNAB 4 and we know it can take some adjusting. We're here if you have questions! If you’d like to submit this for consideration to our product team, please submit a Feature Request.

  • All I want to do is be able to view last month's budget assignments and this month's as a big picture so I can move money around more efficiently.  Its EXTREMELY disappointing that this is "not on your roadmap."  Its not like I am the first person in the forums to request it.

Especially with so much wasted space on the right side.  And I can't even "unselect" a category after I've selected one and it gives me what is mostly an ineffective view on the right side of the screen.

Give me multi month views, and give me a way to see ALL of my set savings goals.  I'm not sure why this is so difficult.  The lack of a multimonth view goes against what YNAB 4 was built around.  I used YNAB 4 up until last week because of  your lack of features in the overpriced web version, but decided to give it a try due to lack of support.

    Guess I'll start shopping around....

  • fyi ynab support, I am a longtime ynab4 user and I refuse to upgrade and this is a huge reason. I'm going to ride the ynab4 horse until it drops dead underneath me unless stuff like this is worked into nynab
