Credit card never has enough money set aside for payment?
I'm using a credit card which I pay out in full every month.
I assume that every time I register a purchase, this amount of money should always be set aside as payment in the "Credit Card Payments" section.
However every month it comes up at least £200 short! No categories are overspent, and yet by the end of the month if card balance is say -£1000 I will only have approx £800 set aside for credit card! Any thoughts on how to solve it?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Thanks for your answers!
Yes, I just add money directly to the "Credit Card Payments" category each month.
Starting balance on the card was zero, I only started using it about a year ago, and always paid it out each month. I have double-checked, and for the current month there is one return, which is less than the discrepancy I have.
No transfers to other accounts from the credit card.
So as of today for example my balance is -£1189, all categories for April are in the green or gray, and I only have £899.65 as payment available...
Actually, so what you are saying is you have to add additional budgeted funds to the card category to make the available your balance? Actually I am noticing the same thing on my budget, where I have to budget 122 dollars to pay off in full.
I have a feeling it has to do with the starting balance and some dates on transactions from when I started fresh. Maybe that is it. If I find the solution to my issue, I will let you know.
