I deleted a transaction but my account balance still takes it into account
When trying to reconcile, I noticed the difference between my YNAB balance and actual bank balance was exactly the amount of the transaction I deleted last night. I went through every single transaction and nothing else is off. Help?
Hi Silver Captain !
Do you mean you deleted the transaction but it's still in the account? If so, make sure there isn't a duplicate causing the issue. If that transaction isn't listed it shouldn't be factored into the account balance.
If you deleted by mistake, re-adding it as Nolesrule mentioned should fix the issue! :)

My original explanation is obviously not very clear!
What happened is that I made a transaction on my cheque card of R14 (South African Rand). I add my transactions manually on YNAB and accidentally added this transaction twice, which I realised when I did my weekly reconciliation. I quickly deleted the duplicate transaction, and continued with adding transactions that I missed in the past week. When all was over and done with, my cheque account balance in YNAB and my actual cheque account balance had a discrepancy of exactly R14. I then went over every single YNAB transaction and matched with my bank statement, and everything matched. Only the total balance didn't!
Now I'm wondering if there isn't perhaps a bug where the deleted duplicate transaction's ghost is still hanging around and causing the discrepancy in my balance?
