Over spent on last month - why isn't that carried over?
I'm confused - again, please help!
Each month I put aside £30 for maintenance on my cycle.
I've only just reconciled the last 5 weeks and the category was over budget by £245.65
In June I spent £305.65 in June, £30 was put aside from May, £30 I added in June - leaving the £245.65 over budget.
However - in July - none of this seems to have carried over - why not? What am I missing (I'm sure it's by design). What do I need to do to make every thing add up right again?

Overspending doesn't carry over from month to month in category balances, and how it is treated at the end of a month depends on what kind of overspending it is.
If the overspending is done with a credit card, orange negative category balance, then the overspent category balance will wipe away to zero at the month change and you will have increased debt on the credit card.
Cash based overspending, red negative category balance, will wipe the category balance to zero in the next month and the overspent amount will deduct from TBB.
As far as making everything add up, if your accounts are properly reconciled and you have no red overspent categories in July or any future months (including TBB) then your budget is back on track.

Just for clarity...
Overbudgeted is when you budget more money to your categories than you have. TBB in the header in the current or a future month will be negative. YNAB can't fix overbudgeting for you.
Overspending is spending more in a category than the category contains. The category will go negative. If you do not correct for your overspending, YNAB will do it for you, as the others have described.
