Check your local credit union for KASASA account
Last year my local credit union switched over to offering accounts from "Kasasa"
I converted and moved from my normal account that had fees over to a $7.50 reward i get if i meet conditions and zero fees. I get PAID $90 per year to use my account! (post 12 debit transactions, have estatments, login to online banking at least once every month) In addition i would also be reimbursed for transactions at other atms.
All banks are probably different but you should check. I have seen KASASA expanding to multiple banks around.

Hi vw_bugg !
I went KASASA diving at one point and came up with a number of high interest rate accounts. I'm currently with a credit union that offers between 3.09% - 4.59% interest depending on the hoops you're willing to jump through (12 credit transactions, estatements, spending a certain amount on your credit card, etc.).
I have friends that still pay those big bank fees and I'm trying to convert them to the magic of accounts that pay you instead. :)
