Trouble linking US Bank (Reliacard) My credentials aren’t working

Hi there everyone! First timer here :)

I have done so much research on budgeting software and I just kept coming back to YNAB for many reasons. However, I signed up last night and have been unable to link my Reliacard (US Bank-Unemployment Benefits) account. 

I followed all of the troubleshooting steps  as well as the status of US Bank which is 89.9%. I am now waiting for a response from YNAB which I know may be a little slow right now because from what I have read,  this seems to be an ongoing trend. 

I can totally understand that most financial institutions are being slowed down drastically,  but how many times do I try before it locks me out?

Could it be that Reliacard is owned by US BANK but-------- because it is a Reliacard Account(How I receive my Unemployment Benefits) it is no a supported bank account by YNAB?

Any advice is greatly appreciated. I am so eager to get my budget started with everything going on right now. I don't want to move away from YNAB, but I am not seeing this issue on other budgeting platforms.

    When you log into your Reliacard account, do you access it through US Bank's website, or through a separate Reliacard website? If you log in through US Bank's website then it should connect through the US Bank option in YNAB. However, if there's a specific Reliacard website you use, it doesn't appear that option is available for direct import. 

    I see you reached out to support so our Direct Import team should be able to offer you answers! :)

  • I can't get mine to work either.  I just tried to e-mail support so I'll see what they say.  Did you ever get it working?

    • Hey Jeff Altman ! Thanks for submitting the Bank Issue form. I sent a reply there as well! It looks like a connection isn't supported at this time. These benefits cards are handled a bit differently than the standard checking/savings/credit accounts, and something our provider's are looking into for the future.

      Nicole Hi! Do you know if there are plans to support a connection? If not, how can I throw in a vote for that feature?

      When you try to add a connection to a bank that isn't supported, it's automatically logged as a request to have it added. This information is logged with our import partner directly—so we can't guarantee if/when a bank might be added, but it does put it on their list of possibilities.   

      In the meantime, try File-Based Import (in the web app), which allows you to drag and drop a file of transactions from your bank into YNAB.
