Outstanding checks don"t show up in the next month

We started using YNAB this March.  The Bank account balance we used was from the bank statement dated February 25.  We budgeted out that money to all the categories down to zero.  We entered outstanding checks so that it would work to balance the bank statement.  Because of this we have checks written in the month of February that are not accounted for in the March budget.  How do we deal with this?

    If you take a look at your March header, you'll likely see "Overspending in February" which equals the outstanding checks dated for February. This reduced your TBB in March that you then budgeted into your categories. So it is accounted for.
