If you’re struggling with YNAB this video is LIFESAVING!!

Nick True is a YNAB fanboy for sure! This video was life changing for me (in a good way).

I learned SO much in 35 minutes.   Keep in mind I have been using the old YNAB for years and am learning the new software.  LOL.   This guy knows how to use the best features of the program like a PRO.

I watched some of the video and it was really fun! I definitely recommend it!

  • I noticed that Nick didn't use the recurring transactions function for his "fixed expenses" and instead created monthly funding goals for them. Are there pros/cons of his method vs creating those recurring transactions?

      Sea Green Transistor

You should do both. One is budgeting (monthly funding goal) and the other is the corresponding transaction entry (recurring transaction). By entering all of your recurring transactions, you can see a record of when your bills are due and for how much. This will help you to know how much to budget and when you need to have it budgeted.

Great video on getting started with YNAB.  Thanks for sharing the link.

  • This video is amazing. I can't believe I couldn't find anything like this (maybe it's there but I couldn't find it) on the YNAB site. I don't have time to attend a scheduled workshop, so a premade video was perfect. Seriously, this should be the first thing you watch.
