BOFA import Failure

As of last week my direct import for BOFA checking and savings accounts have stopped working.

Are you all all aware of any current state issues with BOFA?

  • Same issue, assuming you are Bank of America.  Very frustrating.  This has to be one of YNAB top import banks...not sure why there continues to be issues?  YNAB keeps asking for my credentials, never takes them, or sometimes works for a couple of days the goes back to not knowing my login again.

Besides saying "it's complicated" what can the users expect in terms of resolution timelines and preventing going forward?

  • Hi Khaki Chef and  Green Sidewinder !

I'm sorry you're both having trouble with your Bank of America accounts.

I took a look but, currently, there aren't any known widespread issues with Bank of America. When you're having trouble with your account, we always want you to try the
    troubleshooting steps first.

If that doesn't do the trick, we ask that you please contact us at help@ynab.com . That way we can take a look at what's going on with the connections for your individual accounts. Even though you're both having trouble connecting, it could be for two completely separate reasons.

Depending on the cause, we may need to escalate things to our Direct Import partner. At that point, they investigate the connection issue to find a resolution. They're usually able to get back to us within the week, but it can take longer if an issue proves to be more advanced.

We're continuously striving to improve direct import and we've made some changes to make that possible. If you're still having trouble, please email support so we can get to the bottom of things! :)
