Need to print reports
I know you all must be eager to save trees, but unfortunately, sometimes we need to share information, sometimes with accountants and the like. Please give us the opportunity at least create a PDF of a report. :)
Thanks

Hi Navy Blue Cleric !
At this time, there isn’t a way to print reports directly from YNAB, but it is possible by using your browser’s print function, although it hasn’t been optimized. Here are some alternatives to printing as well.
If you have a moment, please fill out our printing questionnaire. We're using it to gather input on how to address printing in the future. :) -
I want to print monthly reconciliation reports for each account, for archiving (pdf). These are then text searchable. I have monthly reconciliation records going back 15 or so years - I was able to do this in both MYOB12 (which I really miss) and YNAB4. A huge step backward to not be able to do this now. I also filled out the survey.

NO PRINTING??? ARE YOU SERIOUS???
I'm wanting to find out where my ACTUAL bank account is different than what it shows here. YNAB's recommendation is to make a balance adjustment and move on. What? Seriously? How many transactions are going to be UNaccounted for, and skew my budget reports? It SHOULD be really easy to program YNAB to create a "sandbox" for all my bank data to be downloaded again, and then compared to what my YNAB account says. It can be really "smart" in going check-check on each and every transaction.... just like what I'm doing for the last 6 months of transactions... what and where did the app get messed up with? I just downloaded everything and categorized it all and what do you know? The bank and the YNAB account doesn't reconcile. Just let me download the YNAB data and I WILL WRITE A "SMART" little app that will do the check check.

Ok, I've held off for three years now but this is ridiculous. My wife loves YNAB and life is easier letting her use an accounting program that works for her. However, I majored in accounting and there are MAJOR shortcomings in this application. Account reconciliation is the cornerstone of accounting. Bringing my records into balance with my bank's or vendor's records. No ability to print a pre or post reconciliation report? Ok, I can stare at a computer screen for the next three hours trying to spot the transposition or duplicate or missing entry but a simple report with multiple sorting options could get me there in 5 minutes. But the BIG one. You NEVER NEVER NEVER just plug in a balancing number and move on. Yes, that $3.08 could just be a missing or mis-entered transaction OR it could be the resultant of 5 or 6 big transactions whose mis-entry could result in tax errors or under/over paid bills. It should not even be permitted to just "plug and go". In 1986, with NO coding experience, I wrote an oil and gas revenue tracking application in dBase III+ that forced reconciliation of every check apron whether they had 1 line or 250 lines of revenue sources. Then it forced a reconciliation of every check included in a specific bank deposit. Then at the end of the year it forced a reconciliation to the 1099's received from EVERY payor for the year. You could not send a final report to the accountant without first reconciling every entry on every check from every payor. The heart of the application was the ability to first sort entries on the screen to look for errors and then print reports with as much or as little data necessary to find the errors. And it would NOT allow plugging in "Balancing entries". You had to find the errors and fix them. It really encouraged accurate data entry...
Please provide a reasonably robust report printing feature ASAP for those of us that really do understand accounting and have to use this program in order to maintain world peace...

I have to say that not having a "real" print option (not exporting to a spreadsheet) just seems ridiculous. What is so hard to understand about our need to be able to print a report? Read your users comment here. It's been 2 years. What can you possibly be waiting for? I just don't get this. It seems stupid and it seems you just don't really understand or take our needs seriously. Please give us the option to print. Your report function is terribly weak as it is. I believe it is perhaps the weakest part of your program. I really wish you would take the time and fix this part of YNAB.
